Record heat recorded in Dallas as scorching summer continues in the United States

[Collection]The Dallas/Fort Worth area experienced record-setting high temperatures of 110 degrees Fahrenheit, breaking the previous record for this date. Heat warnings were in effect in the Gulf Coast to the Southeastern US and upper Mid-South. The heat dome that has been over the state since June is expected to move out of the area soon. The Electric Reliability Council of Texas has asked residents to reduce power usage due to high demand caused by the heat.
