A suspect in the 1994 Rwanda genocide goes on trial in Paris after a decades-long investigation

[Collection]A Rwandan doctor, Sosthene Munyemana, is facing trial in Paris over his alleged involvement in the 1994 genocide in Rwanda. Munyemana, who denies any wrongdoing, is charged with genocide, crimes against humanity, and complicity in such crimes. If convicted, he could face a life sentence. The trial comes almost three decades after the genocide, in which over 800,000 minority Tutsis and moderate Hutus were killed. This is the sixth case related to the Rwandan genocide to be heard in Paris.
