Pakistan accountability court acquits former PM Shehbaz Sharif, others in corruption case

[Collection]Former Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, along with two members of the federal caretaker cabinet, has been acquitted in a major housing corruption case. The Accountability Court Lahore judge acquitted Shehbaz, Fawad Hassan Fawad, Ahad Khan Cheema, and others based on a report from the national anti-graft body. The judge stated that there was no probability of conviction in the case. The Sharif brothers and other members of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) party have been receiving relief from courts in various corruption cases since April 2022.
