Myanmar junta extends state of emergency on eve of coup anniversary: Military-run media

Having seized power through a coup three years ago, the military has consistently extended emergency rule. Reports indicated that the National Defence and Security Council of the country discussed the "current situation" in Myanmar, with unanimous support from all members for the extension of the state of emergency.
