Passage of harsh anti-LGBTQ+ law in Iraq draws diplomatic backlash

[Collection] Human rights groups and diplomats criticized a law that was quietly passed by the Iraqi parliament over the weekend that would impose heavy prison sentences on gay and transgender people.
