Hurricane Kristy strengthens into a Category 5 storm, expected to weaken over open Pacific waters

[Collection]Hurricane Kristy has intensified into a Category 5 storm in the Pacific, becoming the first such storm without El Niño since 2010. Currently moving westward, Kristy is expected to weaken over the weekend but will generate hazardous surf conditions along Baja California's west coast.
